Some items that should not elude us for detergent products.
PART 1
A product used as a cleaning agent can be:
1. ACID (when the pH is from 0-4)
2. NEUTRAL (when the pH is around 7)
3. Alkali (when the pH is from 8-14)
(PH mean when we say how much hydrogen ion concentration H + - so pH - on the product).
1. Acid detergent dissolve the salts, so suitable for toilets, bathrooms, swimming pools, public baths, etc.
2. The alkali dissolves fats and oils and so usually proposed in kitchen areas.
Furthermore the strong alkaline materials suitable for initial cleaning, industrial smudge, soot and dirt generally difficult.
3. Neutral detergents end is more for maintenance and more mild stains, but have the advantage that no influence of the materials with which they come into contact (e.g., metals, aluminum, etc.) and do not alter the colors.
Some items that should not elude us for detergent products.
PART 2
Possible risks from uncontrolled use of acidic and alkaline products:
ACIDIC
Acidic materials should NOT be used:
I. Plastic surfaces (the burn)
II. Wooden surfaces
III. In marbles (caused gypsopoiisi marble)
IV. In linoleum (if pH is less than 2)
V. On metal surfaces eg aluminum (the corrode)
VI. In acrylic surfaces in bathrooms fear about colors (can xevapsoun) or become matt.
VII. In enamel no risk for the color, but the surfaces are matte.
Surfaces on which the use acids:
I. Cotto Tiles
II. Granite
III. Granite marble (granite special category)
IV. Ceramic surfaces (for them there special approval)
V. Quartz surfaces
VI. Porcelain eg basins W.C. (Has no effect)
ALKALINE
The alkaline materials should NOT be used:
i. In wooden flooring
ii. In linoleum (if the pH is greater than 10)
iii. On metal surfaces eg aluminum (the corrode)
iv. In rubber parts (burn)
Surfaces to which the use of alkali:
When the product is not very alkaline pH = 13 or 14 can be used in all other floors or surfaces, particularly if these diluted according to the prescribed dosage. Beware if the floor is the floor polish pH = 13 or 14 can be removed.
However consists of all surfaces that are difficult greasy dirt and industrial floors or garages with smudging. |
